Wegmans recalls dairy product, plus issues alert for a mislabeled product

Wegmans has issued a recall for two products, including one missing an allergen warning on the label.

The Upstate New York based grocery store chain announced last week that it is recalling Wegmans Ultra Pasteurized Half & Half 16 FO (16 fluid ounces or one pint). The raw milk used in production may not have been properly tested for antibiotic residue, Wegmans said.

The affected dairy product has UPC 7789048671 with plant code 36-1287 and a best-by date of Oct. 10, 2024.

Wegmans issued a separate recall on Thursday for its store-brand FYFGA (Food You Feel Good About) Pecan Nut Blend. The 16-ounce product was mislabeled and did not declare that it may contain almonds, a tree nut allergen.

The affected Wegmans pecan nut blend product has UPC 0-77890-31040-3 with a best-by date of March 27, 2025.

Both products may be returned to Wegmans’ customer service desk for a full refund. Additional details are listed at wegmans.com.

For more information, customers can contact Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wegmans did not specify how many of its stores have the affected products, but the company has 110 locations across eight states, including Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and in Washington, D.C.

It looks like Wegmans will soon open a third store in NYC
