Axe: Young Orange emerging in last week of SU camp; ACC All-Access Episode 2 review (podcast)

Syracuse, N.Y. —Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown smirked a little when asked on Monday who could emerge as surprises as the Orange wrap up training camp.

“Kyle McCord and LeQuint Allen,” Brown said of two players who are hardly in the shadows as his starting quarterback and running back. “I think they’ll be pretty good.”

Brown did play along and highlight a few younger players that are emerged in a recent scrimmage and during camp that we should keep an eye on.

Chris Carlson and I discussed that, a team health update and had a full review of episode two of “ACC All-Access” on a live edition of Syracuse Sports. You may recognize some faces and voices on the show from your friends here at syracuse.com. We also enjoyed the off-the-field look at a few key Orange figures, though I was horrified at the revelation of a movie franchise McCord hasn’t watched yet.
