Syracuse man steals beer from truck stop, then hits worker with vehicle, deputies say

Salina, N.Y. — A man was arrested Saturday after he hit a truck stop worker with his vehicle in Salina and drove away, deputies said.

Charles McGee, 50, of Syracuse, was arrested for hitting the worker at the Pilot Travel Center at 107 Seventh North St. and later damaging a sheriff’s office interview room, according to Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
