To the Editor:
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to our community for their overwhelming support and generosity.
In the wake of losing our beloved Lt. Michael “Hootch” Hoosock, our community has come together in a remarkable display of solidarity and compassion, offering an outpouring of food, drinks and donations to support us during this difficult time. Whether it was delivering food, assisting in coordinating fundraising events for Lt. Hoosock’s family, or simply offering their condolences, the response has been nothing short of inspiring.
The sheer generosity of our neighbors, friends and local businesses has been truly humbling. From the school students’ support pictures to the countless donations of essential items, each act of kindness has made a meaningful difference to all of us.
It is times like these that remind us of the strength and resilience of our community. During these difficult times, the community has shown that we are stronger together, and that even the smallest gestures of kindness can have a profound impact.
On behalf of all of the members of the Onondaga County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Association, I want to extend a sincere thank you to each and every member of our community. Your kindness, compassion and generosity have made a difference, and for that, we are truly grateful.
Let us continue to support and uplift one another, knowing that together, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
