It was a bad start for the A’s on Wednesday, when Aaron Judge hit a two-run homer in the first inning after Oakland starter Joe Boyle was called for a balk on the previous pitch. New York went on to win 7-3 with Anthony Rizzo and Juan Soto also homering for the win.
Elsewhere in the New York dugout, DJ LeMahieu’s MRI and CT scan showed bad news for the injured third baseman, who is still seeing swelling on his fractured right foot. LeMahieu is expected to be shut down for at least another week, and has been out of commission since a March 16 Spring Training game.
