It was another tight game in Atlanta on Tuesday night, and while Monday’s series opener went to the Mets, the Braves cracked back in Game 2 with a 6-5 win. Atlanta got out to a 6-0 start by the sixth inning, including a flurry of RBI singles in third inning from Austin Riley, Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna.

The Mets nearly stormed back into it though once Atlanta’s relievers started taking the mound. Pete Alonso crushed a three-run homer off Tyler Matzek at the top of the eighth inning, then in the ninth, Omar Narvaez had an RBI double followed by an RBI single from Starling Marte. Francisco Lindor even singled to put the tying run on the bases, but Raisel Iglesias was able to close out the game by striking out Pete Alonso.
