Syracuse, N.Y. — The 2023 All-CNY field hockey all-stars has been announced and the finalists for MVP have been named.
Readers have the chance to vote on which player they believe had the best season. Readers can vote for the athlete(s) they believe performed the best as many times as they’d like between now and 10 a.m. Wednesday. This vote is purely for fun and is a way for fans to voice their opinion on who they believe played the best this season.
Below, we have the finalists and their accomplishments listed.
Gracen Grimm, Clinton, junior: She led the Comets this season with 25 goals and she also provided 10 assists for the Class C sectional champions.
Fiona McMahon, Rome Free Academy, junior: She finished the year with 18 goals and 10 assists. She scored the game-winning goal in overtime of the Class A sectional title game.
Isibeal McMahon, Rome Free Academy, junior: She led the Black Knights with 23 goals and 12 assists, and she helped lead RFA to a Class A sectional title.
Gabby Wameling, Cicero-North Syracuse, senior: She led the Northstars with 17 goals and six assists this season, and she helped her team reach the Class A sectional final.
