The first three shows of Usher’s “Past Present Future” tour in Atlanta have been postponed after a neck injury he sustained during rehearsals.

“My hope was that with physical therapy and medical treatment, I would be able to overcome the injury and be ready for opening night. Unfortunately, the injury has not healed yet, and my doctors have instructed me not to perform any shows this week,” the “Yeah!” singer wrote in a statement on Instagram.

The August 14, 16 and 17 shows will be rescheduled for December 9, 10 and 12, respectively.

He added, “The good news is that the doctors are saying that with appropriate rest and treatment, I should be ready to commence the tour in Washington, DC on August 20.”

If the tour continues as planned, Usher will perform at Barclays Center in New York City for four sold-out nights on September 6, 7, 9, and 10.

Fans can find resale tickets on secondary market platforms such as Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and StubHub, where the cheapest tickets start at around $200.

The 58-date run was initially set to conclude on November 30 in Houston, TX, but will now continue through December for the rescheduled shows in Atlanta. Usher will then continue the tour in Europe in 2025.

The tour is in support of Usher’s ninth studio album, “Coming Home,” which was released on February 9, coinciding with his Super Bowl LVIII halftime show performance. “Coming Home” reached number two on the US Billboard 200, while the lead single “Good Good” made it to the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. You can now stream the album on Apple Music.
