What happened last week on “The Challenge”?

Fans can watch the full Episode, “Reunion, Part 1″ on demand on Philo.

Reunion host Maria Menounos dug into some of the most glaring dramas of the season, including Corey Lay’s betrayal of Melissa and Big T, Olivia and Nurys’ high profile friendship split and the “Parents Alliance” between Asaf and Melissa.

Horacio couldn’t be there live, but he showed up to shower Nurys with praise and shed some light on the disintegration of his and Olivia’s friendship. Olivia officially apologized for her betrayal on the show, but Nurys said she doesn’t see their friendship rekindling.

Laurel and Tori said Emanuel deserved the win, but Devin called him the winner on a season of losers, and Nurys publicly accused him of cheating (off Colleen’s puzzle) in order to win. Several champs also assured Nurys that she was a more deserving champion, despite coming in second.

Laurel was, generally, all over the map, first lambasting Michele and Jay for failing to adapt their gameplay, but later defending her biggest rival against Callum. She said Callum should have been up front with Michele about his girlfriend back home, and told him to “change your [expletive] attitude.”

Melissa and Big T came to give Corey the business, and they did just that, although it didn’t do much for their case. They were unwilling to hear anything he had to say, including an apology, but clearly trying to get him riled up — at which they succeeded.

The episode ended with security coming in to separate Asaf from Kyland after he accused Asaf of using Melissa’s child against her during the game.

What is “The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion” about?

According to MTV, “In the ruthless world of The Challenge, this newest group of non-champion, next-gen players must work together to win the grand prize -- but it’s still anyone’s game.” The new season is broken into Control, Chaos and Conquest segments, with Challengers forced to adapt their strategies throughout.
