Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse residents will be getting much larger recycling containers in a few months, but they’ll no longer be putting them out every week.

City officials this week revealed details of a new recycling program they aim to have running after Labor Day. The small blue bins issued by the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency are going away, with plans to replace them with 96-gallon wheeled and lidded carts.
