Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse linebacker Marlowe Wax was one of 90 players named to the preseason watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which honors the top defensive player in the country each year.
The award is given out by the Maxwell Football Club. The group uses both Pro Football Focus (PFF) and Phil Steele Publications as selection committee partners.
