The best women’s soccer players and teams in the world clash at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, with group play kicking off on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Canada, the tournament’s defending champion, is out of the running for their attempt to become the tournament’s repeat champions. The Canadian team reached the knockout stage despite being mired in a drone spying scandal, but was ultimately eliminated by Germany in the quarterfinal. The USWNT are historically the most dominant force in the competition, with four gold medals since women’s soccer was introduced at the Olympics in 1996. They are joined in the field by Rio 2016 champion Germany, but Norway, the only other team to win women’s soccer gold (2000), did not qualify this year.

Olympic women’s soccer games are broadcast on USA Network, and Spanish-language broadcasts are on Telemundo and NBC Universo. Select games also air on E!.
