Donald Glover has announced his two final projects as Childish Gambino, a reissued finalized version of his fourth studio album “3.15.20,” titled “Atavista,” and “Bando Stone in the New World,” a soundtrack to Glover’s post-apocalyptic film of the same name that has yet to be given a release date.
Both albums, released on May 13 and July 19, respectively, will be accompanied by his sixth and final concert tour, “The New World Tour.”
The seven-month-long, 55-stop world tour kicked off on August 11 and includes stops in North America, Europe and Australasia before concluding on February 11, 2025. Gambino will be joined by special guests Willow and Amaarae for select dates.

Glover has been anticipating the retirement of his rap moniker Childish Gambino as early as 2015 when he told the “Today” show, “I want to have periods in my life. I feel like Childish Gambino is a period that should come to a close. I like endings.”
In 2017, at that year’s Governor’s Ball, Complex reported he went even further by outright stating that his next album would be his last. The following year, kicking off his “This Is America Tour” in Atlanta, the rapper announced to the crowd, “If you’re at this show, then you know this is the last Gambino tour ever,” according to a video posted by a concertgoer on Reddit.
Still, Glover insists that “The New World Tour” will be the end of his moniker. However, he plans to continue pursuing other music projects and touring in the future.
Glover’s “The New World Tour” comes off the heels of his surprise Coachella performance during Tyler, the Creator’s set in April 2024. “The New World Tour” is Glover’s first tour since his 2019 “This Is America Tour.”
In the years since, Glover has been busy on-screen and behind the scenes with his projects “Swarm,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and the final two seasons of “Atlanta.”
