The New York Jets visit the Carolina Panthers for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL Preseason at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, August 17 (8/17/2024) at 7 p.m. ET.

Despite the ongoing Haason Reddick holdout and trade request, players are battling for roster spots, giving fans a glimpse of the franchise’s future. Aaron Rodgers, the Jets’ starting quarterback, remains unlikely to play as the Jets are cautious to do anything that could cause a repeat of his injury-shortened 2023 season. Instead, fans should keep an eye on Braelon Allen, the Wisconsin standout running back who was drafted in the fourth round to complement Breece Hall.

The Jets went 20-17 with the Commanders to open the preseason at home last week, while the Panthers had a disappointing 17-3 loss to the New England Patriots. It’s unclear whether Bryce Hall will take the field for Carolina.
