Heavy rock band Tesla performing near Niagara Falls: How to get tickets

Heavy rock band Tesla is bringing their “Keepin’ It Real Tour” to the Artpark Mainstage Theater in Lewiston, NY, about 7 miles north of Niagara Falls, on Wednesday, August 28. The concert starts at 7 p.m., with special guests Kurt Deimer and Stretch opening.

“We cannot wait to hit the stage and share our music with our incredible fans once again. The ‘Keepin’ It Real’ tour is going to be an unforgettable experience for everyone who joins us,” the group said in a statement.

The tour will continue through November and include another stop in Upstate New York at Waterloo’s del Lago Resort & Casino on Saturday, September 14.

Formed in 1984 in Sacramento, CA, Tesla initially went by City Kidd before renaming themselves in honor of the inventor Nikola Tesla. They gained recognition with their platinum debut album “Mechanical Resonance” in 1986, featuring hits like “Modern Day Cowboy.” Their 1989 album, “The Great Radio Controversy,” also went double platinum with popular tracks such as “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song.”

The band continued to release successful albums through the ‘90s, including “Psychotic Supper” and “Bust a Nut,” and remains active with four studio albums since 2000 and their latest single, “Time to Rock!”
