‘General Hospital’ actor shot, killed at 37
E! News reports “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor is dead at 37 after a fatal shooting in downtown Los Angeles. He was shot and killed early Saturday morning, according to his mother, Scarlett Wactor. “There is a huge hole in all of us,” she told NBC News. “There is no fixing that.” Johnny Wactor was reportedly bartending at a rootftop venue and left after closing with three colleagues; when he and one coworker came upon his car around 3:25 a.m., he noticed it was jacked up and asked a man who was working on it underneath if it it was being towed. The man then shot him, according to Scarlett. The soap opera star was best known for playing Brando, the son of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), in more than 160 episodes of “General Hospital.” His credits also included “The OA,” “Station 19,” “Westworld,” “Criminal Minds,” and “NCIS.” “I think that when I see Johnny on the videos and the recordings, I can only hope that he’s doing that in heaven and enjoying it,” his mom told NBC.
