Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse running back Muwaffaq Parkman, who was among the large group of players to transfer from SU during the transition to new head coach Fran Brown, will play for Robert Morris next season.
Parkman announced his transfer destination on X (previously Twitter). He will coached at Robert Morris by former SU star Jerome Smith, who is a running backs coach with the Colonials. Bart Tanski, who spent three years at SU as a graduate assistant and defensive quality control coach from 2015 to 2017, is also on the Robert Morris staff.
Robert Morris plays football at the FCS level in the Northeast Conference.
Parkman came to Syracuse as a member of the Class of 2023. A native of Hillside, New Jersey, he was ranked as the No. 1,305 player nationally.
Syracuse’s running back room looks strong heading into Brown’s first season.
LeQuint Allen has established himself as an excellent back at the ACC level. Freshman Yasin Willis impressed during the Orange’s spring game and is one of three first-year backs on roster. Syracuse also brought on Will Nixon, a transfer from Washington, to add an experienced backup.
