Syracuse, N.Y. — A former Cornell University student was sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison after making threats of violence against Jewish students last fall at the university.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brenda Sannes on Monday sentenced Patrick Dai to 21 months in prison, plus three years of supervised release.
