Caroline and Myra Menon are the types of students who shouldn’t have to worry about paying for college. Nos. 1 and 3 in their class at Corcoran High School in Syracuse, they earned multiple scholarships for their hard work.

And yet, their single mother, small business owner Melissa Menon, has been billed nearly full price for the twins’ first semester at SUNY Geneseo in the fall.
