Syracuse, N.Y. — A 25-year-old man died at a hospital after being shot at the Valley Plaza in Syracuse.
At midnight on Wednesday the man was shot at the Valley Plaza on South Salina Street, according to police and dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.
A vehicle picked the man up and sped down South Salina Street, an officer said over dispatch. The vehicle was driving “erratically” at a “high rate of speed,” an officer said.
The man was dropped off at the entrance to St. Joseph’s Hospital, police said.
He had gunshot wounds to the abdomen and shoulder, police said.
The man died at the hospital, police said.
This is the second person to die after being shot at the Valley Plaza this year. Jamar Mack died after a shooting at the plaza on June 16.
